Karen concentrates her practice on estate planning. She focuses on drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and guardianship appointments. Her scope of practice includes tax-sensitive estate planning issues, and she provides strategic, insightful, and innovative counsel on a full range of legal matters involving wealth preservation and transfer, including minimization of gift and estate taxes.

Karen began her legal career at Winstead P.C. in the firm's commercial litigation section. After relocating to McKinney, she worked as the sole division counsel for a Fortune 750 company. Between those two roles, she gained wide-ranging experience in several substantive areas of the law, including commercial litigation, contract negotiation, employment disputes, intellectual property matters, securities-related issues, and business management.

Karen's particular focus on estate planning, coupled with her broad experience, give her the ability to understand her clients' legal and economic positions and their personal finance needs and objectives. She understands that each client, family, trust, and estate is unique, and she is committed to providing customized and objective legal services to meet each individual client's needs.
