Lin was born and reared in McKinney, Texas. After college and law school, he returned to McKinney and began his legal practice in 1992. In 2001, he moved from McKinney to Melissa, Texas where he and his wife Suzy and their boys, Jacob, Cole, and Wil now live. Growing up, he was a member of the First Christian Church of McKinney, was a long-term member of Parkway Baptist Church of McKinney, and now is a member of the First Baptist Church of Melissa. Lin is a passionate historian who spends his free time roaming Texas and the Southwest exploring historical ruins and educating children about the history of the land that they occupy.
Lin is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law. Lin's practice is heavily weighted on catastrophic personal injury claims, including brain and spinal cord injuries of all types, birth injuries, wrongful death, serious medical malpractice, trucking and commercial carrier injuries, and other areas of wrongful conduct. Additionally, he has considerable experience in general civil matters, including business and employment litigation, and he also represents those accused of serious criminal conduct. Lin has extensive courtroom experience, and has tried a significant number of cases to verdict in both civil and criminal courts throughout Texas. Since beginning practice in 1992, he has recovered millions of dollars for catastrophically injured clients and has successfully defended many persons accused of crimes.
Lin understands that he is often representing clients in the most important legal matters they will ever face, and he takes the responsibility of each case seriously. He believes the key to success in every suit is to learn the client's story, invest the time and money necessary to develop high quality evidence to support that story and spend the mental energy to build that evidence into a compelling case for the judge and jury. He is highly selective in the cases he works on, which assures his clients that they will receive his high personal standard of practice and commitment to their needs.
